Marine Ecologist – National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, Trustee – Far Out Ocean Research
Tom is a marine ecologist hailing from Te Tai Tokerau (Northland) and has been involved in research throughout Aotearoa. Tom has a broad research background on cetaceans, their habitat, and the things they eat, as well as spatial modelling and marine spatial planning. His interests include understanding the relationships between species and their environment, predicting the effects of changing conditions and working with communities on local issues facing taonga populations.
