Abbey is a ringa raupa and is committed to contributing to the wellbeing of our whenua and moana for the future generations.  Abbey is a safe pair of hands out on the whenua, actively managing safety for those doing field work. He is a son of Te Hopua Wai. If you are in Muriwhenua whether it be the ocean, land, Marae or Church – Abbey is who you want by your side. He is the epitome of ahikaa and manaaki tangata. As a man of little words and strong wit, his knowledge of Muriwhenua history is deep and pono. 4th Gen is a generation that has the freedom to walk and talk to our lands. He sees his role as executing the plans our Tupuna has for us and that we as 4th Gen do the work as a collective to ensure our taonga whakapapa isn’t lost or in the wrong hands. Abbey’s goal is to have Zero extinction to the bottom of the ocean floor to the sky’s above. He is safeguarding our rohe to uphold the mauri of his whānau past, present and future.
